FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is included in the Price? Are there administrative fees?
The prices published on our website are in US dollars and are “all inclusive”. Sibaires is one of the only agencies that don’t charge administrative fees. You pay exactly what you see published.
The only extra-cost which may be added is in the case of a late check in (arriving outside of “Normal” check-in hours) or a check in on a Sunday.

What services included in the rent?
The rent includes an array of services (property’s general expenses, taxes, gas, light, water). All the extra-services such as Cable TV, Internet, guardian or maid service should be mentioned in the property details if they are included. All the apartments and properties are fully furnished and are ready to be occupied (towels, household linens, kitchen equipment...).

How to reserve an apartment?
Once you find the right place for your stay, to reserve it, you will need to fill out the form which appears after clicking on "BOOK NOW" on the page of each apartment or by sending us an email with your request to: reservation@sibaires.com. Before sending the form or email, we recommend checking the availability of the apartment. Once we have received your request, we will check the availability of the apartment by contacting the property owner for confirmation. Finally, after receiving confirmation from the property owner, we will send you an email, explaining the booking process and how to pay the reservation deposit.

Are the availabilities shown updated regularly?
Yes, the availabilities shown on the web site are updated daily. The only information that is not shown on our system are the "reservations in progress". It means that we or the property owner received a reservation which hasn't received confirmation yet.

What is the minimum stay?
All the apartments on our web site are for a one-week (7 days) minimum stay. Other than where a daily price is specifically mentioned, the minimum price is the weekly rate even if your stay is for less than one week.

What is the reservation deposit?
The reservation deposit is an amount equivalent to 20% of the total rental amount. It is included in the total price of the rental, which is why it is deduced from the remaining amount, which has to be paid on the day of the Check In. Without the payment of the reservation deposit, we can't block the apartment nor confirm your booking.

How do I pay the reservation deposit?
The reservation deposit should be paid on-line via PayPal ("PayPal is the faster, safer way to send money, make an online payment, receive money or set up a merchant account."). If for some reason PayPal is not convenient for you, Sibaires can accept other means of payment such as Western Union, bank transfers or cash (American dollars or Pesos, but only for those who already are in Buenos Aires). However we prefer the PayPal payment as it is cheaper, safer and quicker.

How will I know that my reservation is confirmed?
Once the reservation deposit will be paid we will send you an email with the exact address of the apartment. This email which shall be titled "Confirmation of your reservation" confirms that the reservation process is finished.

What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?
You have to inform us by email as soon as you will be sure to have to cancel your reservation. The reservation deposit is not refundable in case of cancelation.
However if you cancel your reservation two months or more before the Check In day, we will discuss with the owner about a refund.

Does Sibaires offer transportation from the airport to the apartment?
Yes, once your reservation has been confirmed, we will send you more details about our transportation services and how to reserve.

Once in Buenos Aires, what I have to do to go to the apartment?
If you decide to arrive at the apartment by your own means from the airport/train station/pier, we recommend taking a Radio Taxi or a taxi from Ezeiza (white). Radio Taxis are like the common taxis, yellow and black, with the mention "Radio Taxi". The "Porteños" say that the Radio Taxis are safer.

How do I know my Check In time?
We will calculate your Check In time once you send us the details of your arrival (flight number, airline and landing time).
From the international airport (Ezeiza which is at 22 kilometres (14 mi) south-southwest of Buenos Aires), we calculate two hours between the landing time and the arrival at the apartment. From the national airport (Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires), we calculate one hour between the landing time and the arrival at the apartment.

When are the high and low seasons?
Buenos Aires is a big city, which attracts tourists all year round. However, the spring / summer seasons (from November until March) is the period when must tourists come to visit the city.

At what time could I arrive at the apartment and by what time do I need to leave the apartment (Check In & Check Out)?
Check In time is at 2 pm and Check Out time is at 10 am.
However, it is usual that we can offer a late Check Out or an early Check In. This always depends on the availability of the apartments. If there is a guest arriving at the apartment on the day of your departure, you will need to leave the property at 10 am. If you wish to guarantee the availability of the apartment for a later departure time, it would be best to book the apartment for an extra day. If your check-in time is earlier than 9 am or at 8 pm or later, or is on a Saturday, Sunday or a Public Holiday, late check-in fees will apply.

What happens if my flight is delayed? Or if I have any other complications upon arrival at the airport?
Once your booking is confirmed, we will ask you for your arrival flight information. This information is important because it allows us to check with the airport if your flight is delayed. If a delay occurs, we will be informed and we will adjust your check-in time accordingly.
For any other complications, we ask that you get in touch with us as soon as possible in order to set a new appointment time at the apartment. Don't forget that someone will be waiting for you at the scheduled time, stated in the e-mail and therefore it is important for us to be informed of any delays.

What happen during the Check In?
During the Check In, a Sibaires representative and/or the apartment’s owner shall welcome you to the rented property where they will show you how the facilities are used. At that time, the rental contract will be signed, a passport or national ID copy must be presented and you shall pay the rest of your stay plus the corresponding guarantee deposit (that will be returned to you at the Check Out). We will give you the apartment keys and you will agree with the Sibaires representative on the time of your departure (Check Out).

How can I pay the rent at the Check In?
The outstanding rental amount, which has to be paid during the Check In, should be paid in Cash, American dollars. If you want to use another mean of payment or to pay with another currency, we recommend asking us before booking the apartment.

Why do I have to pay a guarantee deposit?
As is the case with temporary rentals in other major cities, you will have to pay a guarantee / security deposit. The guarantee deposit is a guarantee for the property owner in case of any damage occurs to the apartment. It is put in an envelope that you will sign during the Check In. It is refundable during the Check Out if there are no damages to the apartment.
The guarantee / deposit is generally paid in Cash. In some cases, it can be paid via PayPal or with a credit card imprint (though only with prior agreement). The guarantee deposit is always refunded in the way in which it has been paid (for example: if you pay it in Cash Euros, we will give you back the some bills in Euros).

Whom should I contact if I have questions/problems regarding the apartment once I get in?
On the contract signed during the Check In, you will have Sibaire’s phone number, email and in some cases the phone number of the property owner. In the event that there is a problem in the apartment, you will need to get in touch with the property owner or us as soon as you become aware of the problem. Then, Sibairies and/or the property owner will do its best to fix it as soon as possible.

What happen during the Check Out?
During the Check Out, a Sibaires representative or the apartment’s owner will come to check if everything is fine with the apartment. This person will return the guarantee deposit and take back the keys.
